Overview
All the eleven members of the Committee have been appointed to serve as Special Rapporteurs on thematic areas as well as Country Rapporteurs for different countries. The roles and responsibilities of the Rapporteurs includes among others; setting standards and developing strategies to better promote and protect children’s rights, conducting missions and undertaking various studies as well as cooperating and engaging in dialogue with Member States, National Human Rights Institutions (NHRIs), relevant intergovernmental organizations, international and regional mechanisms, UN Agencies and CSOs.
