Advocacy Missions

The Committee undertakes advocacy missions to convey some key messages to States on children’s rights issues. Advocacy missions could be undertaken to advocate for the ratification of the Charter, withdrawal of reservations on the Charter, compliance with the reporting obligation of States on the implementation of the Charter as well as advocacy for implementation of specific aspects of the Charter. Advocacy missions may also be carried out to popularize the Charter, the activities and documents of the Committee, as well as any issue covered in the Charter. Advocacy missions facilitate constructive dialogue with the State and other stakeholders whereby it mobilizes collaborated efforts on the issue being discussed.
